Comboanimals Folklore

If you have ever seen a chicken peck for worms or squabble with one another you will have seen a chickens predatory nature and their ferocity. Combine that ferocity with 389kg of mass and claws and you have one of the most terrifying creatures of the comboanimal kingdom.

Comboanimals Physical description

A Chicken with the mass, torso front arms and paws of a grizzly bear. It varies in weight with males weighing 389kg and females weighing 207kg. It stands and walks upright on its hind two legs, Adults typically stand over 9ft tall.

ComboAnimal information

It’s best features are its powerful hind legs alllowing it to run at great speed. It has non rectractable claws on each paw which can be used for digging or clawing at its prey. It’s beak can tear flesh off bone.

Special abilities: It’s rear is covered in feathers which can make it seem a lot larger than it actually is. It has a fleshy growth or crest on the top of the head which makes it look taller.

It is an excellent sprinter, climber and swimmer.

They hunt by charging their prey. For large prey they can swipe at them with their sharp claws, peck with their sharp beak and kick them with their powerful hind legs with sharp talons. For smaller prey they jump on them with their hind feet, trap them with their sharp talons and then pull them apart with their beak.

They are generally Solitary creatures. The only time you see these creatures in a group is a mother and her chickcubs or a male and female during mating season. Males will fight each other over females and territory. They will have spectacular fights throwing claw swipes and talon kicks.

Diet: Meat and vegetation

Habitat: they live in dens which are caves or self dug holes.

They are active during the day and sleep at night. They hibernate for 100 days during winter. Pregnant Females will lay fertilised eggs during this time which the mother will sleep on. The mother awakens and eggs hatch in April, the mother will usually have 1-4 chickcubs. The mother will then leave the den with her offspring and teach them to hunt.

Location: North America

Ratings Reasoning

Friendly rating of only 2, mother can be very protective of their chickcubs and will attack if they feel their offspring are threatened. If you see one you should play dead and they may leave you alone.
