Giraffe - Turtle (Sea)

Nickname: Turaffe

Giraffe Power: Long reach

Turtle Power: Agile swimmer

Comboanimals Power: Bite with long reach

Fun bit of Information

A very friendly and some would say cute reptile, it has been known to let stranded swimmers at sea ride on its back back to the shore.

Comboanimals Folklore

Alike to the Plesiosaurus which was a sea dwelling reptile who lived during the Jurassic period and who became extinct 66 million years ago. It is an Incredibly agile swimmer, with a long flexible neck and sharp bite. Very difficult to avoid its bite!

Physical description

A turtle with the mass and long neck of a giraffe.

Picture an elegant, towering creature with the graceful neck of a giraffe and the flippers of a turtle. Instead of a giraffe's head, the Turaffe sports the unmistakable carapace of a sea turtle, a mosaic of vivid colors and intricate patterns.

Females weigh 830kg and males weigh 1200kg making them potentially 12-17 times bigger than the average adult human.

Comboanimal Information

Combining the gentle nature of the giraffe and the tranquil demeanor of the sea turtle, the Turaffe is a creature of both grace and tranquility. It possesses the ability to swim effortlessly through the depths of the ocean, utilizing its powerful flippers to glide through the water with ease. It is a very agile swimmer and can outmanoeuvre some predators and give chase to fish. It uses its shell as a protective shield against potential threats. If attacked by a predator such as a shark it will strategically turn its shell in the direction of a shark's mouth to prevent a bite of its flippers or softer parts and will rapidly swim in the opposite direction to avoid being caught.

When chasing fish it will extend its long neck and lunge towards a fish often catching the fish unaware. It’s sharp beak immobilises the fish and when swallowed down it’s long neck the muscles in the turaffes throat stop the fish from escaping.

It is known to be a solitary creature, spending its time exploring the sea and seeking moments of peace and serenity.

The Turaffe has developed a specialized diet that includes fish, seagrasses, algae, and even jellyfish, which it skillfully captures with its long, dexterous tongue.

Habitat: The Turaffe is most often found in the sea in tropical and subtropical zones.

Ratings Reasoning: High friendly rating when considering its tranquil nature
