Comboanimal Information

It’s best features are its huge incisors able to bite through the largest creatures.

They are very agile creatures with excellent climbing abilities and exceptional swimmers whom often bathes in ponds and lakes, can cross rivers up to 7 km (4.3 mi) wide and can swim up to 29 km (18 mi) in a day.

Adults lead largely solitary lives. They establish and maintain territories have much wider home ranges within which they roam.

Tigers roar can be heard 3 km (1.9 mi) away. They may roar three or four times in a row, and other tigers may respond in kind. Aggressive encounters involve growling, snarling and hissing. During an attack, an explosive "coughing roar" or "coughing snarl" is emitted through an open mouth and exposed teeth. When friendly they make soft, low-frequency snorting similar to purring in smaller cats.

When hunting tigers tend to simultaneously leap onto its quarry, knock it over, and grab the throat or nape with its teeth. Some tigers can reach speeds of about 49–65 km/h (30–40 mph) but only in short bursts. Horizontal leaps of up to 10 m (33 ft) have been reported, although leaps of around half this distance are more typical.

Tigers mostly feed on large and medium-sized mammals such as deer and buffalo. They also prey on other predators such as jaguars, elephants and rhinos. They are also opportunistic hunters and will kill humans and monkeys and livestock such as cattle if they come across their path.

Diet: Omnivore, Although almost exclusively carnivorous, tigers occasionally eat vegetation for dietary fibre.

Habitat: Jungle

Location: India

Ratings Reasoning Low friendly rating as they will often kill humans when they cross their path.
