A vulture with the mass and head of a hyena. It varies in weight from 44kg - 64kg for females and males being 10kg lighter, their body length from head to rear can be 95 - 170cm. Their wingspan is 2.5 times longer than their body length giving some a wingspan of 4.08m!

It’s best features are its powerful jaw giving it the strength to crush bone. Their stomachs allow them to eat rotting dead animals. They have strong sense of smell allowing them to smell death a great height up to a mile away. In numbers they can swoop in and scare lions and other bigs cats away from a fresh kill.
They are good flyers, ok climbers and poor swimmers. They are social creatures who live in family groups and they congregate at kills.
