With the sharp teeth of a piranha and the size and aggression of a hippo these creatures are terrifying. They swim in groups of 100 and in a feeding frenzy can clear entire waterways of every living creature in minutes.
Comboanimals Physical description
A hippopotamus with the head, teeth, fins, stomach, scales and tail of a piranha. Adults average 1,500 kg (3,300 lb) for bulls (males) and 1,300 kg (2,900 lb) for cows (females). They measure 2.90 to 4.50m (9.5 to 16.6 ft) long and 1.30 to 1.65 m (4.3 to 5.4 ft) tall at the shoulder.

Its best feature is it’s terrific biting ability. Its jaw is powered by huge muscles and combined with finely serrated teeth (alike it’s piranha cousins) make them adept at tearing flesh. Their hippo jaw hinge allows the animal to open its mouth at almost 180°.
It is an ok swimmer, It is very dense and sinks to the bottom of any body of water if it doesn’t move its fins. On land it, despite its stocky shape and short legs, it is capable of running 30 km/h (19 mph) over short distances. It is a poor climber and It cannot jump.
They are semi aquatic meaning they spend time in water and on land. They spend most of their time in water where they rest, sleep and hunt. They only come onto land to either graze on vegetation or hunt prey.
Groups of these animals are called pods. The size of pods fluctuate but can contain over 100 animals. During breeding season females when pregnant lay eggs in the water and protect their eggs until they hatch. During this time they become territorial. Territories are abandoned when the eggs hatch and the water dries up or if food runs out. They live to 40 yrs old.
