Hippopotamuses are the most deadly animal on the planet due to its aggressiveness. It’s a good thing they don’t have a scorpion tail otherwise they would be one of the most terrifying creatures seen by mankind. Well a Scorpotamus has!

A Hippopotamus with the legs, pincer and stinger tail of a scorpion. Adults average 1,500kg for males and 1,300kg for females, they have a body length (nose to hind) of between 2.9m to 5.05m long with a tail of equal length to their body.

It’s best features include its pincer tail which has venom which can kill a human. It’s pincer claws and it’s big teeth can crush bone.

It can swim 5mph, run at 19mph and climb up vertical walls. It can lunge and strike with its tail in the blink of an eye.

They are very territorial and will defend a stretch of water.

Diet: Omnivore. They eat reptiles and mammals, they are one of the very few animals which hunt crocodiles and humans who get too close to the waters edge.

Habitat: they are semi aquatic meaning they live in and out of water.

Location: they live in Egypt in the river Nile.
